Education of Service Provider
10 hours of in-service and training consisting of course outline, skills checklist, and clinical hours prior to delivery of client care.
Duties and Responsibilities
Homemaker Companion services provide in-home support to the client. The Homemaker Companion will provide simple unskilled tasks from a written assignment sheet created from the direction of the client or family. The Homemaker Companion is responsible to the RN case manager and ultimately to the administrator of ADL Supportive Home Care.
Activities May Include:
- Supervision
- Companionship
- Meal preperation
- House Cleaning
- Interact with the client to eleviate boredom and confusion.
- Facilitate a connection for the client to do familiar task or participate in current interests.
- Listen
- Provide a reduced stress environment for the client and family.
